Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the level of IT use in SMEs in Buleleng regency. Information Technology provides a wide range of solutions to business problems. Application of information technology (IT) to the right is needed in order to support the activities of SMEs in winning the competition in a free market, especially with regard to marketing management. SMEs typically have little resources in the development of IT so often a different approach in the use of IT. It is therefore necessary to study the level of IT use in SMEs. This study aims to explain the level of IT use in SMEs in the four sectors contained in Buleleng regency. Constructs of IT usage rate was lowered to several variables, namely the level of availability / ownership of facilities / IT infrastructure, the use of IT, and IT benefit plans in the future use of IT. Of the 2637 members of the population to be sampled at 98 SME entrepreneurs with stratified random sampling method. The data has been collected and analyzed descriptively. Conclusions The level of research is Ownership facilities and IT infrastructure by SMEs tends to be low; Use of IT is still on things that are not common in synergy to improve performance or to support the efficient management of the business; Respondents' perceptions of IT on the business benefits of high; SME entrepreneurs have great interest in adopting IT to manage the business being operated.
